
Isabelle Ruiz
Program Manager - Sector Development
Isabelle Ruiz is from Tiohtiá:ke (Montréal, Québec). She is Kanyen’kehá:ka with mixed Haudenosaunee and settler ancestry. She is a member of Six Nations of the Grand River Territory (Turtle Clan). Isabelle has an academic background in Art History and has been working in production and broadcasting for the past five years. Most recently, Isabelle worked as a Programming Coordinator at APTN (Aboriginal Peoples Television Network) for the network’s streaming and linear services. In the summer of 2021, she participated in the Hot Docs Podcast Development Lab to research and develop her own work of narrative nonfiction. Isabelle is dedicated to Indigenous storytelling and narrative sovereignty across all artistic practices.
